Arrive early
First-timers should arrive about ten minutes before class for a short orientation and FlowFormer setup — your instructor will walk you through the carriage, platform, springs, straps, and safety features.
The Flowhouse experience blends contemporary Pilates with modern strength training on the FlowFormer — our custom reformer. Slow tempo, time under tension, breath, precision, and control, sequenced into one continuous flow.
Within one of our signature 50-minute classes, you can expect:

Start with an Intro class if you're new to reformer pilates — it's paced and cued for first-timers so you learn the FlowFormer setup and springs before anything else. From there, Signature, Yin, and Barre 45 are all open to you. Signature is all levels: our instructors give modifications and progressions throughout, and there's standing work built in.
Yes — and especially yes. Reformer pilates is one of the most beginner-friendly strength practices because the machine supports you while it challenges you.
Not fit at all. We program for every body — including people coming back from injury, post-partum, or who haven't moved in years. Just tell your instructor at check-in.
We program for every body, including people coming back from injury, and modifications are always available. Always let your instructor know at the start of class about any injuries or recent surgeries — your safety is our priority. If you have a recent injury or a pre-existing medical condition, please check with your physician before starting a new exercise program.
Our classes welcome every body, including post-partum. If you're pregnant, please check with your physician before starting a new exercise program, and always let your instructor know at the start of class so they can offer modifications throughout. Your safety is our priority.
Yes. Signature is an all-levels class — our instructors offer modifications and progressions throughout, and there's standing work built in, so you can meet the class wherever you are. We simply recommend taking an Intro class first so you're comfortable with the FlowFormer setup and springs before you flow.
A few terms you'll hear in the studio — so your first class feels familiar before you arrive.
The matte-black machine at the centre of every class, built specifically for the way we teach — carriage, platform, springs, and straps working together.
Moving slowly and with control so muscles work for longer through each rep. It's how we build strength without impact.
A continuous, breath-led sequence that carries you from one movement to the next — the signature rhythm of a flowhouse class.
The reformer's springs set your resistance. Your instructor guides every change, so you're always working at the right load.
A small adjustment to a movement — a different range, position, or spring — so every body can work safely and effectively.
A way to add challenge to a movement once form is solid — more range, more load, or a longer hold, always earned.
The lengthening phase of a movement. We slow it down on purpose — long eccentrics are where lasting strength is built.
