A reformer of our own.
The Flowformer is the machine we designed and the method we teach on it. Custom-manufactured to our exact specifications, sequenced like a sentence — modern and classical pilates, blended into one intentional, breath-led practice.
Designed in-house
The method, explained by the founder.
A short film with our founder walking through the method, the machine, and why she built both. Coming soon — watch this space.
Built on pilates. Programmed for now.
Joseph Pilates was a movement obsessive. So are we. The Flowformer method takes his original principles and re-sequences them for a contemporary practice and a coastal life.
Designed in-house. Manufactured to spec.
We weren't satisfied with off-the-shelf reformers, so we drew our own. The Flowformer is custom-engineered, sourced and built to the exact dimensions and feel of how we teach.
Two lineages, one sequence.
Our founder trained across classical Pilates and contemporary reformer methods. The Flowformer method draws from both — classical control, contemporary pacing, no purist apologies.
Slow eccentrics. Loud results.
A six-second eccentric beats a thirty-rep blitz. Time-under-tension programming trains the deep stabilising muscles classical pilates is famous for — the ones that hold every other movement together.
No stopping. No standing around.
Every Flowformer class is sequenced as one continuous breath-led flow. You'll move from one position to the next without a break — and the carryover work happens between exercises, not in spite of them.
Low impact. High intensity.
The reformer rewards control. We reward control. The Flowformer method is low impact by design and intense by sequencing — strength without strain, every single class.
Breath as the metronome.
Every Flowformer class ends in a long, deliberate cool down — because regulation is part of the work, not after it. You'll walk out lighter than you came in.
The reformer we wanted to teach on — so we made it.
After years of teaching on the industry standards, our founder drafted a reformer that solved the small daily frustrations of group teaching: cleaner sightlines, better spring tuning, calmer aesthetics, a frame that disappears so the movement can come forward.
