the flowhouse method

Where pilates meets strength.

We take the precision, breath, and control of classical reformer work and program it with the intent of modern strength training — slow, deliberate tempo and real time under tension that builds lasting strength.

Nothing is rushed and nothing is random. Every class is one continuous, breath-led flow — low impact by design, athletic by intention. You'll leave stronger, taller, and calmer than you walked in.

A few things to know.

Everything you need for a calm, confident first visit. Your instructor guides the rest.

Grip socks

Required for safety and hygiene. Available for purchase in the studio if you need a pair.

Arrive early

First-timers should arrive about ten minutes before class for a short orientation and FlowFormer setup.

What to bring

Bring water and wear comfortable, fitted movement clothing you can move freely in.

Spring changes

Your instructor guides every spring adjustment. There's no need to change resistance until directed.

Modifications

Modifications are always available. Let your instructor know about any injuries or concerns before class.

Phones

Please keep phones silent and stored away so the room stays calm and focused for everyone.

The FlowFormer

Our custom reformer. Your instructor will walk you through the carriage, platform, springs, straps, and safety features.

Class flow

Classes follow an intentional sequence. Your instructor guides every movement, transition, and spring change from start to finish.

good to know

A little flowhouse language.

A few terms you'll hear in the studio — so your first class feels familiar before you arrive.

Flow FormerOur custom reformer.

The matte-black machine at the centre of every class, built specifically for the way we teach — carriage, platform, springs, and straps working together.

Time under tensionSlow, controlled reps.

Moving slowly and with control so muscles work for longer through each rep. It's how we build strength without impact.

The FlowThe rhythm of class.

A continuous, breath-led sequence that carries you from one movement to the next — the signature rhythm of a flowhouse class.

Springs & resistanceYour load, guided.

The reformer's springs set your resistance. Your instructor guides every change, so you're always working at the right load.

ModificationMeeting you where you are.

A small adjustment to a movement — a different range, position, or spring — so every body can work safely and effectively.

ProgressionThe next step up.

A way to add challenge to a movement once form is solid — more range, more load, or a longer hold, always earned.

Eccentric movementThe lengthening phase.

The lengthening phase of a movement. We slow it down on purpose — long eccentrics are where lasting strength is built.
